While I was looking for a software application to manage my huge archive of video files consisting of movies, music videos and TV series, I came across VideoPhill player and VideoPhill recorder. It has an extensive feature set that will certainly provide video archiving solutions. In particular, I was interested with the player since I won't be doing recording assignments for now:
